Overcoming self-doubt and anxiety while pursuing your dreams is a journey that requires patience, self-compassion, and resilience. To begin with, it's important to acknowledge that self-doubt and anxiety are natural emotions that many people experience, especially when venturing into new territory or chasing ambitious goals. Recognizing that these feelings are normal can help alleviate some of the pressure and self-judgment.

One effective strategy to combat self-doubt is to challenge negative thoughts and beliefs with positive affirmations and realistic self-appraisal. Remind yourself of your past accomplishments and strengths, and focus on your unique abilities and talents that make you capable of achieving your dreams. By reframing your mindset from one of self-doubt to one of self-assurance, you can cultivate a greater sense of confidence in your abilities and potential for success. An amazing and inspirational person I listen to all the time is Dr. Joe Dispenza. I promise you, if you begin to implement his strategies into your life you WILL have a Life Lived Well!

Another helpful technique is to break down your goals into smaller, more manageable tasks or milestones. This not only makes the journey to achieving your dreams feel less daunting but also provides opportunities for small victories along the way. Celebrating these small wins can boost your self-esteem and reinforce your belief in your ability to overcome challenges and obstacles. This strategy I specifically put into play when I was getting my PhD. It was too overwhelming to look at all that had to be completed for this degree so I worked backwards. I reverse engineered everything. I knew where I wanted to be and when (ie; graduation), so I worked backwards from these points giving myself specific deadlines and deliverables that had to be done. I chunked these tasks into groups so each deliverable was associated with a date that helped me reach my end goal. This method truly works. I have the degree to prove it!:-)

In addition to this, seeking support from friends, family, mentors, or a therapist can also be instrumental in overcoming self-doubt and anxiety. Surrounding yourself with positive influences who believe in you and your dreams can provide encouragement, guidance, and perspective when you're feeling overwhelmed or discouraged. Additionally, talking to a mental health professional can offer valuable tools and strategies for managing anxiety and building resilience in the face of self-doubt. 

Finally, practicing self-care and mindfulness techniques can help alleviate anxiety and promote emotional well-being while pursuing your dreams. Engage in activities that nourish your mind, body, and soul, such as exercise, meditation, journaling, or spending time in nature. Cultivating a sense of balance and inner peace can empower you to approach challenges with greater clarity, resilience, and self-assurance, ultimately propelling you closer to realizing your dreams.
